I went to Crate & Barrel yesterday to look at beds, and brought my digital camera so I could easily remember what beds I saw in which store. I found one I thought would be a good candidate for my apartment so I took out the camera and shot a couple of pictures of it. Almost immediately, a snotty salesperson descended on me and informed me that they didn’t allow any pictures. When I explained why I needed to take them, he said that I had to have him take Polaroids of the items I was interested in and that I should wait for him to come back and help me. He then went back to helping another customer for almost a half an hour before I finally got angry enough to leave. Guess I won’t be buying my bed, or any of my furniture, at Crate & Barrel.
