Coding a search engine that allows the user to search several databases of Web content as well as binary data stored in the file system is not as much fun as it looks, I’m afraid. I’ve been working through the weekend, and I’m not too happy about it. However, I did manage to sneak in some yard work “fun” this afternoon. I’ll be happy when it’s all over.

I forgot to mention how floored and excited I was by the Fellowship of The Ring Trailer. Is it sad, in fact, that I knew the exact moment of each of the pieces within the context of the book upon seeing them? Can you name the one reallly obvious plot difference shown in the trailer?

OS X 10.1 includes support for Java WebStart I noticed this last night, but wasn’t quite sure what it meant and if it was really something I would find interesting. Now, I think it is. This page has some interesting demos.
